Formant shift the whole kick
On my final kick I just add Little AlterBoy and formant shift the whole kick down. It already sounds cool, but it opened the stereo image.

A side EQ and a wave shaper
So I get another EQ. Pro-Q works fine. Make it something like a brick wall, put the stereo placement on side and make sure the sub is mono.
To get a little bit more power back in the kick I add Fruity WaveShaper and open that up. Then finish with the soft clipper and inflator trick.
