How to Finish Techno Kicks With a Soft Clipper and an Inflator

If you want your kicks to be powerful, right in your face and cutting through the mix with a lot of body, always add this at the end of your kicks.

My notes from this Short

01

A clipper and inflator at the end of every kick

I always add this at the end of my kicks. First find a soft clipper, and then get an inflator. Open the effect of the inflator, open the soft clipper and squash the post gain until it starts clipping. If it doesn't clip, add another soft clipper and clip it a little bit more.

02

Nice clipping instead of going over

What happens now is that you squash your kick against zero dB, and instead of going over it you get a little bit of nice clipping. That adds so much power to your kick.
