Quick tip

How to Make Your Own Vocal Pad for Techno

Techno producers, if you want some really beautiful vocal pads, this is how I make my own.

My notes from this Short

01

Stretch a short slice of the vocal

I grab a vocal, find a cool spot, make it shorter and stretch it all the way. Make sure it's on auto.

02

Convolver and two long reverbs

In the mixer I add a Fruity Convolver on the Blur Pink mode and ValhallaRoom, 100% wet with a long decay. Then I add it one more time with a long decay.

Add a parametric EQ to take down the sub, clean up the highs and clean up the mids.

03

Render it and loop the end

Play it two times, render it out, take the final part and loop it. Now you've created your own personal vocal pad.

Add it to melodic techno or normal techno. You can do it with any sound, just play around with it.
