Octaves around a simple pattern
First I make a simple pattern. Then I focus on the octave lower, with a faster and short note rhythm, and put that in between the pattern.
Now go an octave higher than the main rhythm and add those in-between notes as well. We now need some fast notes in the empty space in between.

Shape the top notes into a melody
Finally we need a melody, so take the top notes and change those a little bit. Because it goes down here, I want this to go down as well.

Extra velocity on the highest and lowest notes
The top notes and the bottom notes need a little bit more velocity, because the cutoff responds to higher velocity.
Then copy the melody and change it, just to make it interesting.
